CHEYENNE, Wyo. — For those planning to attend concerts at the Culture Expo this weekend in downtown Cheyenne, a significant late change to the scheduled lineup has been announced.
Rapper Twista — who was scheduled to be the headliner of a concert Saturday night at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza — has pulled out of the event due to “medical reasons,” per a release Saturday morning from Cheyenne Presents.
Petey Pablo will take Twista’s place as headliner, performing directly after recently-announced opening act Fatman Scoop. Twista (real name Carl Mitchell) is a Chicago-born artist best known for his chart-topping 2003 single “Slow Jamz” with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx, which also made an appearance on West’s Grammy Award-winning 2004 album “The College Dropout.”
“These circumstances were unforeseen, and the entire team wishes Twista a quick and full recovery,” the release stated.
A full schedule and list of events taking place at this weekend’s festival — which also goes by the name Culture X — are available on its website.
