CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Always one of the most anticipated events of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the first Grand Parade of the 2022 edition of the “Daddy of ’em All” didn’t disappoint.

Swaths of visitors to downtown Cheyenne watched as animals, floats, vehicles and everything in between strutted down the parade route Saturday in the first of what will be four versions of the Grand Parade to take place during the 10-day festival. With Saturday marking the first day of the rodeo nearby at Frontier Park as well, it felt as if Wyoming’s capital city was coming alive once again for its grandest celebration of the year.
