CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne Frontier Days offers a plethora of engaging events for both local residents and visiting tourists.
The fairgrounds will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. daily.
Today is Military Monday, and the fairground recommends that attendees wear red, white and blue clothing to celebrate.
Here is the schedule of events for Monday, July 22:
Frontier Park Arena
- Chutes starts at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by pre-rodeo entertainment at 11:45. That will include junior barrel racing.
- At 12:45 p.m., the Cheyenne Frontier Days “Daddy of ‘em All” Rodeo begins. The rodeo’s Grand Entry will feature a parade of military vehicles from throughout the United States’ past and a giant military flag to celebrate Military Monday. Military personnel are also recognized with a free ticket to Monday’s rodeo.
- The Frontier Park Arena is located at 4610 Carey Ave.
Frontier Park Arena Night
- Professional Bull Rider’s Last Cowboy Standing Rodeo will take place at 7:45 p.m. in the Cheyenne Frontier Park Arena. This is the first day of a significant sports event for the Professional Bull Rider’s league, with teams from all over the country competing to gain an advantage in later rodeos.
Carnival
- The Cheyenne Frontier Days Exhibit Hall, shopping area, carnival and food court will open at 10:30 a.m. alongside the campgrounds. These attractions will be situated in the Midway section of the Cheyenne Frontier Days event grounds.
- The entrance for Frontier Park is located at 1226 W. 8th St.
Buckin’ A Saloon
- Located on the Midway, Buckin’ A Saloon will open at 4 p.m. featuring live music and dancing.
The Garden
- Opening at 11 a.m., The Garden offers a shaded retreat with live music from 3 to 8 p.m., providing a relaxing atmosphere where attendees can enjoy beverages.
Native American Indian Village
- Explore and experience Native American culture through costumes, music, dance, stories and crafts at the Native American Indian Village, an educational exhibit.
Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum
- The museum showcases the extensive history of Cheyenne Frontier Days and its significance in Western culture. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The museum is located at 1610 Carey Ave. near the Frontier Days Arena.
Off Park Events
- From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the third day of the BLM Wild Horse & Burro Program at Lions Park will be near the fairgrounds. Lions Park is located at 4603 Lions Park Drive.
