Gunslingers show, kids rodeo and more in store for Cheyenne Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Every Wednesday during Frontier Days, the City of Cheyenne celebrates its rich heritage with Cheyenne Day.

Here are some events taking place during Cheyenne Day:

  • The Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast will be at the Cheyenne Train Depot Plaza, 121 W. 15th St., from 7 to 9 a.m.
  • Fridays on the Plaza’s “Fridays Extended” will take place at the Cheyenne Train Depot Plaza, with the Third Rail opened by 67th Army Band starting at 1 p.m.
  • The annual Cheyenne Day Street Party will occur at the Freedom’s Edge Brewing Company, 1509 Pioneer Ave., from noon to 10 p.m.
  • The annual Kids Rodeo will occur at Chronicles Distillery, 1506 Thomas Ave., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • An additional street block party will take place on 15th Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The party will have balloon animals, face painting, a Hell on Wheels Rodeo Queen meet and greet, yard games and a petting zoo.
  • The Gunslingers Shootout will be held between 15th and Pioneer Avenue from noon to 6 p.m.
  • The Downtowner will be playing live music near 18th and Central at 3 p.m. Afterward, Ally and Red Painted Black will play, followed by Aquiles and The Brother Bandits.
  • Old-Fashioned Melodrama will occur at the Atlas Theatre, 211 W. Lincolnway, starting at 7 p.m.
  • Cheyenne Day will have vendors, food, games and more throughout the downtown area.
