“Live music in nature is beautiful way to honor the practice of peace,” the event’s organizers say. “Inda Eaton will provide our live music feature this year.”

Eaton’s eighth album is titled “Shelter in Place.”

“Inda will perform at the Peace Celebration with national touring guitar player, B. Rehm-Gerdes,” the announcement adds. “The duo is out west to introduce ‘Shelter in Place.'”

“This collection of eleven story-rich songs highlights the power of human connection and offers a dashboard-drumming, heart-healing journey through life, death, laughter and love.”

Eaton’s music has been described as “a fusion of Melissa Etheridge meets John Mellencamp,” organizers say. “Inda’s original music & observational humor mine wanderlust and epic adventure to explore life topics of resilience, community & connection.”

“Local kids and adults will share their thoughts on creating a climate of peace with the Earth, ourselves, and each other,” they add. “Plus, get an update on how the community is coming together, to using art with The Casper Mural Project and Casper Art Walk to heal, a short Qigong practice, a labyrinth walk and more.”

Range Solar and Wind will be providing renewable energy at the event “to demonstrate new efforts of creating peace with our environment.”

“This is the third public event we’re doing with solar power to show how we can do things locally that make a difference for the climate while being stewards of our wonderful Wyoming natural resources for future generations,” Elliot Ramage of Beyond Borders Yoga and The Table says. “We’ll be officially adopting the park through Keep Casper Beautiful with two clean ups this week leading up to Saturday’s events.”

To help raise funds for the Casper Mural Project, who hope to add a dozen more murals in downtown Casper in coming years, a “Pound For Paint Masterclass with Troy Charbonneau” will be held at 9 am preceding the peace festival.

“This donation based class will be held in place of wyOMing Yoga & Massage‘s Saturday Surprise class at 9 am,” event organizers say. “Any dollar amount over $12 accepted, or use one of your wyOMing Yoga ‘class passes’, and wyOMing Yoga will donate the worth of your pass.”

“POUND” workouts combine yoga, cardio, strength-training and pilates and utilize lightweight drumsticks, transforming “drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.”

30 spots are available for that event. People can register online.

“Join us on the river, at The Bart Rea Learning Circle within Amoco Park on The Platte River Trails.”
