CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming law enforcement agencies arrested six impaired drivers during a Border War Impaired Driving Enforcement Operation on Friday, Nov. 22.

Six arrests were also made for possession of controlled substances, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.

Overall, 240 traffic stops were made across Laramie and Albany County. The Wyoming Highway Patrol’s Wednesday, Dec. 4 release did not include statistics from participating Colorado law enforcement agencies.

“On the Wyoming side of the border, law enforcement issued 30 speeding citations, 4 seatbelt citations, 112 other citations, 112 warnings, and arrested 4 people on other violations.”

No fatalities were reported in Wyoming during the 14 hour enforcement operation.

“Agencies involved in Wyoming include the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie Police Department, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, University of Wyoming Police Department, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, Cheyenne Police Department, and Wyoming State Parks,” WHP said.
