The Natrona County School District say that a racial slur has been found written on school property.
The slur was found written on some Natrona County High School property on Jan. 8, according to the district.
“This is absolutely unacceptable behavior and it will not be tolerated,” NCSD said on Thursday. “Upon becoming aware, NCHS took immediate steps to remove the racial slur from school property and began an immediate investigation.”
“If any students have information on who may be responsible, please contact the NCHS Campus Supervisor.”
The school district say they don’t condone any behavior from staff, students or visitors which insults, degrades or stereotypes any:
- race
- gender
- disability
- physical characteristics
- ethnic group
- sexual orientation
- age
- national origin
- religion
“We are committed to creating a learning and working environment that is free from harassment or discrimination and are committed to the pursuit of equality for all school community members and the promotion of positive attitudes that respect the cultural diversity of our society,” the district concluded.
