Wyoming’s United States Senator John Barrasso criticized U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s handling of the impeachment of President Donald Trump on Monday, Jan. 13.
“Pelosi’s impeachment process has been partisan since day one,” Barrasso said on Facebook. “Americans see through this political stunt.”
“It’s time to move to the trial in the Senate and then get back to the business of this country.”
The House voted to impeach Trump on charges of obstruction and abuse of power three weeks ago.
The Senate has the power to remove the president from office, but are awaiting the articles of impeachment from Pelosi.
