Women's March set for Cheyenne this Saturday

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The annual Women’s March on Wyoming is taking place in downtown Cheyenne on Saturday, January 18th, starting at 10 a.m.

According to organizers, the March’s will begin at The Cheyenne Depot Plaza and move up Capitol Avenue to the Capitol for a keynote address, etc. Then afterwards the March returns to the Depot Lobby for a Rally/Potluck.

The first Women’s March on Wyoming took place in Cheyenne in January of 2017.

The group’s Facebook page says that “This march is the first step towards unifying our communities to create change from the grassroots up. We will not rest until there is parity and equity at all levels of leadership in society. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all.”

The National Weather Service forecast for tomorrow’s march is expected to be breezy with a high of 38.
