CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Organizers with the Laramie County Fair posted on Facebook April 7, that they are still making preparations for the 2020 fair to take place in late July, but are also considering other options in case the COVID-19 restrictions aren’t lifted by then.
“The uncertainty of the current COVID-19 situation makes it difficult to predict what are community stipulations will be at the end of July when we are ready to start the Fair. At this time our team is preparing to host the Fair as planned,” the post on social media said.
The 2020 Laramie County Fair is scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 28th through Saturday, August 8th.

Fair officials said that if they are prevented from hosting the Fair traditionally they would consider the feasibility of a “virtual fair”, so that vendors could still showcase their animals and exhibits.
“We realize that this method is not ideal, however, we believe that a modified Fair is better than no Fair,” organizers said.
