CASPER, Wyo. — A Fremont County motor grader driver sustained non-life threatening injuries after the machine rolled down a steep embankment and trapped the driver.
The incident occurred at about 10 am Wednesday, May 20 while the grader was working along Red Canyon Road, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday.
“The operator was working in a narrow section of road that was under construction,” FCSO added. “It is believed that the newly formed shoulder of the road began to slough away sending the machine down a steep embankment rolling over 1 / 1/2 times. The operator was trapped in the cab of the machine and had to be extricated.”

“The operator was transported by ambulance with several injuries, described as serious, but not life threatening.”
Fremont County Road and Bridge employees were able to right the machine. FCSO says they ensured no fluid or fuel leaked into the waterway below.
“The incident is under investigation and no additional details will be released until the investigation is completed,” FCSO concluded.
