UW reports 113 active COVID cases among students and staff

CASPER, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming reports a total of 113 active confirmed cases of COVID-19 among students and staff as of Wednesday, Sept. 30.

10 new cases were confirmed through Vault Bridge Testing on Sept. 29 and one positive test of a symptomatic individual was reported by an external party.

The active cases include the following:

  • 14 students living on campus
  • 94 students living off campus
  • 5 UW employees

112 UW students or staff are currently in 14 day quarantine due to contact with someone with a positive case. That includes 15 people living on campus and 97 living off campus.

UW reports that a total of 240 students or staff have recovered after contracting COVID-19. 279 students or staff have had their 14 day quarantines lifted.

13,948 COVID-19 diagnostic tests of UW students and staff have been completed by Vault Bridge Testing since Aug. 24.
