High wind advisory extended through Monday for SE Wyoming

CASPER, Wyo —   The National Weather Service (NWS) in Cheyenne has renewed a high wind warning for southeast Wyoming through 6:00 pm Monday.

West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected along Interstate 25 and Interstate 80 corridors and the Laramie foothills. Towns affected include Buford, Pumpkin Vine, Vedauwoo, Whitaker, Federal, and Horse Creek.

Those driving light, high profile vehicles including camping and tractor trailers should use extreme caution. There will be a high risk for vehicle blow overs, especially along the Interstate 80 summit, NWS said.
