Tuesday: 415 new confirmed COVID cases, 408 more recoveries

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Health reported 415 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm Tuesday, Nov. 24 update.

Wyoming has seen a total of 25,975 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic. A record 1,251 new confirmed cases were reported Monday. 26,010 of the confirmed cases in the state have been reported since Sept. 13, around the time Wyoming started to see a surge.

113 probable cases were also reported on Tuesday, bringing the total to 3,984.

26 additional COVID related deaths among Wyoming residents were reported on Monday, which brought the total to 202 since the pandemic began.

As of Tuesday morning, Wyoming’s effective reproduction rate of the virus stood at 1.12, according to Rt.live. The number reflects the average number of new cases each case is expected to create. Anytime the effective reproduction rate is above 1.0, COVID-19 is expected to spread quickly.

The Wyoming Department of Health report that 228 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized across Wyoming on Tuesday. There were 13 COVID-19 patients reported in Wyoming hospitals on Sept. 13.

408 new recoveries from a lab confirmed case were reported Tuesday, for a total of 15,486. An additional 36 probable case recoveries were also reported for a total of 2,410.
