CASPER, Wyo. — The Children’s Advocacy Project (CAP) will be planting 314 pinwheels for the 314 child abuse and maltreatment victims they served in 2020, CAP announced on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

“We hope these pinwheels will serve as a visual reminder of the child abuse that continues to occur in our own community,” CAP said.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the pinwheels will be planted at 4 pm Tuesday, April 6 at Children’s Advocacy Project’s 350 North Ash Street office.

“This year we are encouraging homes and businesses to join us in planting a pinwheel garden of their own for the month of April,” CAP said. “Pinwheels may be purchased through the Children’s Advocacy Project.”

“Call 307-232-0159 or email ashley@childrensadvocacyproject.org. Order deadline is March 29, 2021 and the purchase of pinwheels covers the costs of the pinwheels themselves and is of no profit to CAP.”

People are also invited to the planting of the Pinwheel Garden at the CAP office on April 6.
