CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Actor Kirk Cameron will be among the guest speakers present at the Laramie County GOP Patriot Summit later this month.
The summit, titled “A Return to America’s Principles,” will focus on bringing the country back to its Constitutional roots, the organization said.
The afternoon event will be at the Metropolitan Downtown, 1701 Carey Ave., on Aug. 27. The speakers will talk from 1 to 5 p.m., and dinner will follow from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The guest speakers are Cameron, Rick Green and Mark Meckler, according to an event flyer.
Cameron is an American actor and Evangelical Christian who began his career in the sitcom “Growing Pains.” He has since worked on such films as “Fireproof” and “Left Behind.” Cameron also travels the country as a speaker, has several projects such as “American Campfire Revival,” and has recently released a documentary called “Homeschool Awakening,” which gives a look into what it is like to homeschool in America.
Green is the founder of the Patriot Academy, which, according to its mission statement on its website, works “to equip and educate a generation of citizen leaders to champion the cause of freedom and truth in every sector of society, as we help restore our Constitutional Republic and the Biblical principles that cause a Nation to thrive.” He speaks around the country about the secrets of our national success and why Americans should teach the nation’s principles to their children.
Meckler is an American attorney, political activist, and business executive. Meckler was the co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots and is currently the president of Citizens for Self Governance and Convention of State Action. He has experience in technology law and works to make sure the principles of the Constitution are upheld.
