Cheyenne Walmarts to offer Wellness Day this weekend

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The first nationwide Walmart Wellness Day of 2023 will take place on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at local stores.

Customers can receive free health screenings for things like glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure, as well as affordable immunizations for things like flu, COVID-19, mumps, and measles.

More than 4,600 pharmacies across the country are hosting the event, encouraging families to prioritize their health and providing the tools and resources needed for them to seek care as well as improve and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Customers can also learn about the store’s health and wellness offerings and solutions and take advantage of free screenings and affordable immunizations. Walmart Wellness Day events will feature the following health resources, administered by qualified pharmacy and Vision Center teams:

  • Free health screenings, including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and vision screenings.
  • Affordable immunizations, including flu, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella or MMR, varicella or chicken pox and shingles, whooping cough or TDAP, and Hepatitis A and B.
  • No cost to patient for COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Wellness resources and the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.

Cheyenne’s Walmart superstores are located at 580 Livingston Ave. and 2032 Dell Range Blvd.


The Wyoming Department of Health provides COVID-19 case, variant, death, testing, hospital and vaccine data online. The department also shares information about how the data can be interpreted. COVID-19 safety recommendations are available from the CDC.
