CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A sled dog racer and her furry friend are visiting the Laramie County Library on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Karen has competed in the Iditarod, a 1,000-mile Alaskan dog race, three times and finished the event twice. She is a writer, public speaker and library lover who has presented all over the country, bringing her Arctic clothing, Iditarod sled, mushing gear and dogs with her.
Her dog, Noggin, is an Alaskan Husky who is built for long-distance runs and whose ancestors worked in Alaskan villages hunting, fishing and pulling sleds. Noggin has also traveled the country, receiving thousands of pats from adoring audience members.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room. It is open to all ages and is completely free to attend.
