Cheyenne to have chilly start to the week before sun returns

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Residents will have cold weather to start the week before temperatures rise, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Today, Jan. 30, there is a 30% chance of snow with gradually sunny skies and a high of 7. Windchill values will be between minus 15 and minus 25 degrees. Winds will be in the south-southwest at 5–10 mph before shifting to the north-northwest in the afternoon. The evening will be partly cloudy with a low of minus 7, windchill values between minus 15 and minus 20 and west winds at 10 mph.

The sun will return on Tuesday, Jan. 31, with a high of 27 and windchills between minus 5 and minus 15 degrees. Winds will be in the west-southwest at 5–15 mph. The evening will be mostly clear with a low of 11 and windchill values between zero and 5 degrees. Winds will blow at 15–20 mph in the west with gusts of up to 30 mph.

Wednesday, Feb. 1, will be sunny with a high of 34, west winds at 20–25 mph and gusts of up to 30 mph. The evening will be mostly clear with a low of 19.
