CHEYENNE, Wyo. — All major roads around Cheyenne, including Interstate 80 and WY 210, are experiencing either road closures or roads that are slick with snowfall, the Wyoming Department of Transportation announced today.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne warns residents to be prepared for freezing temperatures that will plague the city for the remainder of the day and into tonight.
Road conditions can be viewed here. The conditions as of 8:50 a.m. are as follows:
- Cheyenne Service Road
- Between Archer Interchange and WY 217: Slick with snowfall, reduced visibility
- I-25 / US 87
- Between the Colorado State Line and Cheyenne: Slick
- Between Cheyenne and Exit 29, Whitaker Road: Slick in spots with blowing snow
- I-80 / US 30
- Eastbound between Exit 335, Buford and Exit 348, Otto Road: Slick in spots with blowing snow
- Westbound between Exit 335, Buford and Exit 348, Otto Road: Road closed due to rolling closure. As of Jan. 30 at 8 a.m., the estimated opening time is in 8–10 hours. Parking on the roadway is prohibited and delays opening the road.
- Eastbound between Exit 348, Otto Road and Exit 359, Junction I-25: Slick in spots with snowfall
- Westbound between Exit 348, Otto Road and Exit 359, Junction I-25: Road closed due to rolling closure. As of Jan. 30 at 8 a.m., the estimated opening time is in 8–10 hours. Parking on the roadway is prohibited and delays opening the road.
- Between Exit 359, Junction I-25 and Exit 364, College Drive: Slick with snowfall, reduced visibility.
- Between Exit 364, College Drive and Exit 370, Archer Interchange: Slick with snowfall, reduced visibility
- Between Exit 370, Archer Interchange and Exit 377, WY 217: Slick with snowfall, reduced visibility

- Between the Colorado State Line and Cheyenne: Slick with snowfall.
- Between Cheyenne and Meriden: Slick, drifted snow with snowfall, blowing snow, reduced visibility.

- Between Cheyenne and Mile Marker 16, County Road 109, Table Mountain Road: Road closed due to rolling closure. As of Jan. 30 at 8 a.m., the estimated opening time is unknown. Parking on the roadway is prohibited and delays opening the road.
