Investigation into train car derailment underway by Union Pacific

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cleanup is underway after several train cars derailed west of Cheyenne last night.

At around 5 p.m. on March 13, 12 cars derailed on the railroad by Lincolnway in front of the Marriot Hotels. According to Union Pacific spokesperson Mike Jackson, there were no injuries and no hazardous materials involved.

At this point, an investigation is underway and could take several weeks to be completed.
