CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Laramie County School Board recognized the accomplishments of multiple schools, students and student-athletes during its evening meeting.
The following students and student-athletes include:
- Student of the Week for Oct. 16: Ty Bronder, East High School, 12th grade
- Recognized by Principal Sam Mirich and teacher Lt. Col. Chris Johnson
- Student of the Week for Oct. 23: Corbin Westervelt, Johnson Junior High School, seventh grade
- Recognized by Principal Michaela Bradshaw and teacher Ashton Horsley
- Keelan Anderson, South High School, Football Team Kicker
- Recognized by Principal Kerri Gentry and Athletic Director Wendy Johnson
- Central High School 4A State Girls Tennis Champions
- #1 Singles: Ashli Smedley
- #2 Singles: Hailey Mathis-Breitkopf
- #1 Doubles: Genesis Tyler and Cailyn Smedley
- #2 Doubles: Quincy Dereemer and Lauren O’Donnell

The board also recognized winners from the Cheyenne Schools Foundation’s Run for #1 5K, a community run and fundraiser hosted on Sept. 16 to support LCSD1 teachers and students.
