CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Local nonprofit organizations can now apply for a marketing grant to fund any of their upcoming events in 2024. Applications close at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Visit Cheyenne’s Board of Directors has opened applications for its Visit Cheyenne Marketing Grant program, which provides financial assistance “to deserving events that increase travel to and overnight stays in Laramie County and/or enhance the downtown Cheyenne experience,” according to a news release from Visit Cheyenne.

According to the release, funding provided by the grant must be used toward marketing expenses for an event within Laramie County. In addition, 60% of the grant must be used on marketing outside Laramie County to promote tourism to the Greater Cheyenne Area.

Visit Cheyenne favors grantees that can match 1:1 the funding they request. Requests should demonstrate how hotels/lodging will be increased.

If chosen, grantees receive half of the funding upfront and half upon completion of a report as to how the money was spent. Grantees must also provide recognition of Visit Cheyenne in their advertising.

To fill out an application, visit the organization’s grant web page.
