City of Cheyenne reminds residents of open, closed services on Veterans Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The City of Cheyenne is reminding residents of services that will be open or closed on Friday, Nov. 10 in honor of Veterans Day.

The list of services is as follows:

  • Cheyenne Transit service will be closed and routes will not operate.
  • The Solid Waste Transfer Station will remain open Friday, Nov. 10, but will be closed Saturday, Nov. 11.
  • The Compost Facility at 3714 Windmill Road and Household Hazardous Waste at 220 N. College Drive will remain open Friday, Nov. 10, but will close Saturday, Nov. 11. Both facilities will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 14.
  • There will be no sanitation services on Saturday, Nov. 11 as the Sanitation Division’s drivers will be observing Veterans Day.
  • There will be no change in schedule for the trash, recycle or yard waste pickup on Friday, Nov. 10.
  • Happy Jack Landfill at 1416 Happy Jack Road will have no change in normal business hours this week and will be open Monday through Friday.
  • Recreation facilities, including the Aquatics Center, Ice and Events Center and the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, will all remain open.
