CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Community members are invited to a poetry open mic at The Hawthorne Tree on Sunday, Nov. 12.
The free event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants should arrive five minutes early to sign up to read. People can read their own poetry, read the work of another poet or stop in to listen to some great poets. Each poet gets five minutes to read. The event occasionally goes for two rounds, and it is recommended that participants bring extra poems.
The Hawthorne Tree is located at 112 E. 17th St. in downtown Cheyenne. The next poetry open mic will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10.
