United Way of Laramie County accepting computer equipment donations

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — United Way of Laramie County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the local community, is currently accepting electronic donations that would be put into the hands of local children for free.

According to a Facebook post by the organization, Computers 4 Kids Wyo will refurbish the equipment before it goes to the children.

Accepted donations

These are the items the organization is asking to be donated:

  • Hard drives (SATA, 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch)
  • USB Wi-Fi adapters
  • Computer monitors (VGA, DVI, HDMI and/or DataPort connections)
  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Computer speakers
  • Computer mice and keyboards (PS2 and/or USB connections)
  • 60W Dell laptop AC adapters (United Way of Laramie County already has a number of Dell laptops, but does not have adapters for them)
  • Computer video cables (VGA, DVI, HDMI and/or DataPort cables)

Concluding the post, United Way of Laramie County said that donations can be dropped off at the organization’s address. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
