CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Black Dog Animal Rescue has scheduled an adoption drive Feb. 19 during the Presidents’ Day holiday.

The event is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m., and will occur at 2407 E. 9th St.

The animal rescue will have several animals available at reduced fees for people to choose from, including dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments.

People can see all animals that are currently up for adoption on the rescue’s website. If someone sees an animal they are interested in, they can apply ahead of the adoption drive.

People are asked to bring vaccination records for animals they already own to the adoption drive.

“We are seeing slower adoptions while our waiting lists and transfers from other shelters continue to grow. We are prioritizing adoptions of animals and finding forever homes,” said Emilee Intlekofer, the Executive Director of BDAR.
