CHEYENNE, Wyo. — August’s First Friday Art Walk has a cast of new artists, as well as a mural-making event.
The First Friday Art Walk will take place on Aug. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The following artists will be on display:
- Art@the Hynds will feature Donna DuPont-Schultz, who will be liquidating art supplies, art books (both new and gently used), her beautiful paintings, and exotic found art creations.
- The Cheyenne Artists Guild will be featuring Deb Harris, Marsha Schneider, and Jackie Olaveson. Harris is a photographer; Schneider works with acrylics, watercolor, gouache, and pencil sketching; and Olaveson upcycles what people consider “junk” and creates unique creations with them.
- Blue Raven Brewery will be featuring local artist Curtis Holcomb, who is a multimedia artist who uses ceramics, printmaking, and photography as his main media.
- Clay Paper Scissors and Mystery Print Gallery are proud to present the 3rd Rendezvous, a juried exhibition of Wyoming art. A full list of artists can be found here.
There will also be a mural-making event held at Blue Door Arts. This event is open to the whole family and will continue into September. Participants will be able to wind up colorful strips of fabric to create modular motifs for a community-made mural. The mural’s permanent home will be at the future Children’s Museum of Cheyenne.
