CHEYENNE, Wyo. — There is a public hearing scheduled for tonight regarding the transfer of ownership of a retail liquor license from Poor Richard’s Restaurant to Andiamo 307.
Poor Richard’s Restaurant was a Cheyenne staple until its demolition in June 2021 following its permanent closure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite no longer operating, Poor Richard’s continued to hold one of the city’s available retail liquor licenses. Wyoming state law limits the number of available liquor licenses per city based on population.
Earlier this year, the council saw 11 entities vying for one available full retail liquor license, which was ultimately awarded to The Railspur.
Andiamo 307 now seeks the transfer of Poor Richard’s retail liquor license for its operations at 1808 O’Neil Ave.
The Cheyenne City Council meets at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 2101 O’Neil Ave., and its meetings are livestreamed for the public on the city’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages in addition to Spectrum local access channel 192. The public may watch and provide comment remotely through Zoom. Zoom links can be found at www.cheyennecity.org/ecm.
