$227k bid for Bomb Squad robot referred to Cheyenne Finance Committee

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne Police Department may be getting a new robot for their Bomb Squad.

The Cheyenne City Council voted to refer a proposed bid for the Bomb Squad robot to their Finance Committee during their meeting on Thursday, December, 19th.

The bid came from Northrop Grumman/ Remotec, Inc., based in Clinton, Tennessee, in the amount of $227,354.00. 

Detective Zack Johnson reviewed the bid.  He recommends that the city council accept it.

The funding for the Bomb Squad robot would come from a United States Department of Homeland Security grant.
