CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A rally supporting Wyoming’s rail workers will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the state’s capitol at 200 W. 24th St.

Wyoming’s Sheet Metal Air Rail and Transportation Workers are organizing the 2022 Rail Solidarity Rally to raise awareness for mistreatment of rail workers by railroad companies. The rally efforts are also a response to the Senate’s rejection of a Dec. 1 proposal that would give railway workers seven days of sick leave.

Rallies are also planned across the country by SMART in Washington, D.C. as well as Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio and Utah.

For more information on the rallies, visit the SMART Union page.
