CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Road closures are currently in place to light and high-profile vehicles along wind-prone areas in southeast Wyoming, the Wyoming Department of Transportation announced this morning.
These areas include the North Snowy Range Foothills, near Elk Mountain and Laramie.
Gusting winds are causing extreme blowover risks, WYDOT reports. Strong winds will persist through Wednesday afternoon.
Interstate 25 from Cheyenne to Wheatland was closed for a few hours this morning due to gusting winds.
As of 8:30 a.m. the road is open to all traffic in both directions.
