CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A March 15 fire on the 400 block of Cribbon Avenue caused roughly $474,000 in damages and losses, Cheyenne Fire Rescue said Tuesday.

Cheyenne Fire Rescue responded to the residential fire Friday afternoon, finding the fire started in the backyard of a duplex home with attached garages. The fire spread to the interior of both homes, a CFR news release states.

Crews extinguished the heavy exterior fire first and then worked to extinguish the interior fires. Firefighters ensured both homes were clear of occupants.

Two cats were reunited with their owners and another cat remains unaccounted for. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
