CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Members of Cheyenne’s governing body will hold a public hearing at their next regular meeting on April 8 to consider the transfer of two retail liquor licenses. The current liquor licenses are held by Scooter’s Scoreboard Bar and The Lamp Lounge.
The transfer for Scooter’s Scoreboard is in location only, according to City Clerk Kris Jones, who said the business sold its old building and is looking to use its liquor license at the business’s new location on East Lincolnway. The Lamp Lounge, however, is undergoing new ownership. The bar is currently owned by W.W. Enterprises Inc., Jones said. W.W. Enterprises Inc. filed a license transfer of ownership with the clerk’s office, requesting to transfer the license to Wyoming Pipe Dreams, which would then utilize the license to continue business under The Lamp Lounge’s name.
All liquor license transfers must be approved by the Cheyenne City Council. If the governing body doesn’t approve a transfer, then an owner may still retain and operate with its liquor license or attempt to transfer to someone else, Jones said.
