CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The City of Cheyenne has released its full list of schedule changes and closures for various city facilities and offices for the nation’s newest federal holiday, Juneteenth, occurring on Wednesday, June 19.
City offices
All city offices will be closed June 19.
Sanitation services
Like all other city offices, the Cheyenne Sanitation Division office will be closed for Juneteenth. Cheyenne residents who normally set out trash for collection on Wednesdays will instead have their waste collected Saturday, June 22. The city reminds residents that bins should be set out by 6 a.m. the day of collection.
All other sanitation and waste collection facilities, including the solid waste transfer station, Happy Jack Landfill, the city compost facility and the household hazardous waste facility will be closed for the holiday as well.
Cheyenne Transit Program
According to the city, busses will not run and the transit program offices will be closed all day June 19.
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens
The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Grand Conservatory and the Paul Smith Children’s Village will not be open Wednesday, June 19.
Cheyenne Aquatic Center
The Cheyenne Aquatic Center will be open on June 19. The city encourages residents to see the facility’s web page for open swim times.
BEAST Facility
The BEAST Facility will also be open for the holiday. Open court times can be found here.
Cheyenne Ice & Events Center
This facility will be open for Juneteenth. Its schedule can be found here.
City golf courses
Airport Golf Course and Kingham Prairie View Golf Course will be open, and the city encourages golfers to see course information here.
