CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Monday night, the City of Cheyenne approved a handful of bids for various projects and services during its regular City Council meeting. Among them were services for the Dutcher Athletic Complex, a thermoplastics project and work related to the Cheyenne Railcar Project.
A majority of the bids and contracts are on the city’s consent agenda and therefore don’t require discussion from members of the governing body.
A bid was accepted from S&S Builders LLC regarding the Dutcher Athletic Complex Restroom and Concession Building Project. The city will pay S&S Builders $687,808 for its services through its 2021 Special Purpose Option Tax Fund, lottery proceeds and the Rec Mill Grant. Work on the project must be complete by April 1.
The city now has a contractor working on its 2024 Thermoplastic Markings #1 Project. Traffic Safety Services will be paid $244,765 for its services on the project, which must be completed by Nov. 29. City staff will pay the company via its 2019–2022 Optional 1% Sales Tax Fund.
The city has also hired Orion Environmental Inc. to work on the Asbestos and Lead Paint Abatement Project for the Cheyenne Railcar Project. Per the work contract, the city will pay Orion $473,028 for its services via its General Reserve Funds and an Economic Development Administration Grant. Work on the project is set to be completed by Dec. 6.
The following is a list of other items the City Council passed on Monday night:
- A resolution granting an exception to the “201 Agreement” for the owner of the property located at 4614 E. Pershing Blvd. to allow installation of a small wastewater system.
- A contract modification for additional materials required to complete the 2024 Surface Seal #1 Project. The city will pay $193,638.42 to Asphalt Preservation LLC for the equipment via its 2021 Specific Purpose Option Tax Fund.
- A contract modification for additional materials required to complete the 2024 Surface Seal #2 Project. The city will pay $192,907.99 to Asphalt Preservation LLC for the equipment via its 2021 Specific Purpose Option Tax Fund.
- A bid from LL Johnson Distributing Company for the business to supply two greens mowers and three tee box mowers for the city’s golf division. The city will pay the company $245,267.89 for its services via its Golf Fund.
- The reappointment of Lori Schoene to the Cheyenne Housing Authority Board.
