CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Monday, the Cheyenne City Council took a step to ensure the city’s Transit Division can get more than $62,000 to provide transportation support to people 60 years and older.
The council approved sending the agreement with the Wyoming Department of Health’s Aging Division to the city’s Finance Committee as part of the consent agenda during its regular Monday meeting.
Funds are provided by a Title III-B program grant for fiscal year 2025. According to city documentation, the federal government is providing $58,375 while the state is chipping in $4,245, for a total grant of $62,620. That money also receives local matching funds of $6,056.
