CHEYENNE, Wyo. — It’s going to cost the city of Cheyenne more for Cheyenne Gymnastics after a nearly $3,000 per month rent increase.

On Monday, the Cheyenne City Council approved a contract modification with the landlord for 6725 Faith Drive, GBP LLC, in which the monthly rent was increased from $13,500 per month to $16,100 per month.

The modification was made to add up to 12 more months for renting the building. It’s effective from Oct. 1, 2024, to Sept. 30, 2025, according to city documents.

The council approved a second contract modification Monday for design services to add an alleyway for the Cheyenne Three Alleyway Project. Funds for the project come from the 2021 Specific Purpose Option Tax Fund, city documents state.

The contract modification will provide $39,639.67 to add another alleyway, referred to as Sanford’s Alley. The consultant on the job is William H. Smith and Associates, based in Rock Springs.

The three alleys on the project are each 300 feet by 12 feet. One is St. Mary’s Alley from Capitol Avenue to Central Avenue. The second is an alley north of 18th Street from Warren Avenue to House Avenue. The third is north of 16th Street from Central Avenue to Capitol Avenue.
