CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council approved a $465,104.75 bid by Pine Bluffs Gravel & Excavating for the Childs Draw South Tributary Drainage Enhancements Project.
The bid award Monday was initially part of the council’s consent agenda, but Councilor Pete Laybourn requested it be removed for separate approval so he could better understand what work is to be completed.
The only dissenting vote was Councilor Mark Rinne.
The city received five bids, with Pine Bluffs Gravel & Excavating being the cheapest. Other bids included $510,162.50 from Fencetrak Inc., doing business as Full Tilt Services; $619,998.75 from Knife River; $857,224.92 from Resource Construction LLC; and $971,039.36 from Rocky Mountain Sand.
The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
On Monday, the council also sent bid considerations for mobile clamshell-style laptops and docking stations for the IT Division to the city’s Finance Committee for review.
Four bids were received for 76 computers and docks. City staff are recommending approval of the bid by ClearConnect for $78,997.44. Other bids include Hypertec USA Inc. for $89,415.52, Riverside Technologies Inc. for $97,128 and vCloudTech Inc. for $100,464.40.
