CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council has ensured the city’s Transit Division can get more than $62,000 to provide transportation support to people 60 years and older.

The council approved the agreement with the Wyoming Department of Health’s Aging Division to the city’s Finance Committee as part of the consent agenda during its regular Monday meeting. The approval comes two weeks after the agreement was sent to the city’s Public Services Committee.

Funds are provided by a Title III-B program grant for fiscal year 2025. According to city documentation, the federal government is providing $58,375 while the state is chipping in $4,245, for a total grant of $62,620. That money is also accompanied by local matching funds of $6,056.
