CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council will hold its Sine Die meeting and swearing-in ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers, 2101 O’Neil Ave.
The ceremony will involve the current City Council adjourning Sine Die (marking the end of the current council makeup), after which newly elected and reelected officials will be sworn in and the new council will hold its first meeting to approve the appointment of, and swear in, city officials.
Councilmembers who will be sworn in are Pete Laybourn and Jeff White of Ward I, Kathy Emmons and Tom Segrave of Ward II and Michelle Aldrich and Mark Moody of Ward III. Mayor Patrick Collins will also be sworn in for his second term.
The Hon. Justice Kate Fox of the Wyoming Supreme Court will administer the oath of office to the mayor, councilmembers and city officials.
Following Monday’s meeting, the City Council’s Public Services Committee will meet at noon. The council’s Finance Committee will hold its first meeting of this term at noon Tuesday. For the upcoming term, Public Services Committee meetings will be held at noon on the first and third Monday of each month and Finance Committee meetings will be held at noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
The City Council will meet the following Monday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m.
