CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne’s governing body is beginning the new year by authorizing an owner-requested annexation on the city’s east side.

The Cheyenne City Council passed several ordinances on third reading Monday night regarding zoning classifications, as well as annexation of a residential property located north of Cheyenne Street and west of and adjacent to Ridge Road. The owner of the land requested the annexation, according to a city staff memo. Furthermore, the city zoned the land as MR medium-density residential.

The council has also set new zoning classifications for several other properties within city limits:

  • Assigning the zone of AG agricultural to 14.47 acres of land northwest of the intersection of West Allison Road and Waltersheid Boulevard. The land is currently assigned county A-1 agricultural.
  • Assigning the zone of AG agricultural to 44.16 acres of land near West College Drive and West Allison Road from PUD to NR-3 neighborhood residential-high density.
