Cheyenne City Council to hold first readings on three proposed ordinances Monday

Proposals include updates to fire codes, building regulations, and above-ground tank standards

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council is set to meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers to address updates to municipal codes, budget allocations and city contracts.

The agenda includes first readings of three ordinances sponsored by Councilmember Tom Segrave. These ordinances propose updates to the city’s building and fire codes, including clarifications on above-ground tank regulations. If approved, they will move to the Public Services Committee for further discussion.

The council will consider a resolution to reallocate the fiscal year 2025 budget in accordance with Wyoming statutes. Additionally, councilmembers will vote on contracts for community projects, including hardwood floor replacements at the Kiwanis Community House and synthetic turf replacement at Pioneer Park Baseball Field.

The council will announce a public hearing on Feb. 10 to discuss the downtown development area’s plan of development. Residents can attend in person or participate via electronic conference.

The Cheyenne City Council meets in regular session at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2101 O’Neil Ave. in Cheyenne.
