CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Monday, the Cheyenne City Council opted to send three liquor license applications to the city’s Finance Committee after public hearings as part of its regular meeting.

The Green Door

The first public hearing concerned the transfer of a retail liquor license for FNG Corp., doing business as The Green Door, from 301 E. Lincolnway to 255 Story Blvd. During the hearing, Ward III Councilmember Michelle Aldrich addressed concerns circulating on social media that the move would bring adult entertainment to Story Boulevard.

“This is simply transferring the liquor license,” Aldrich said. “We are not transferring the previous activities that were found at The Green Door to Story Boulevard.”

Mayor Patrick Collins confirmed that city ordinances do not permit an adult business at the new location.

No members of the public offered comments on the transfer. The item was subsequently assigned to the Finance Committee.

The council also held a public hearing for the renewal of the liquor license for FNG Corp., doing business as The Green Door, at the new location of 255 Story Blvd. The renewal was necessary following the transfer application. Similar to the transfer hearing, no members of the public or governing body offered comments. This item was also referred to the Finance Committee.

Frontier Trampoline Park

A public hearing was held for a restaurant liquor license application filed by Frontier Trampoline Park Inc., doing business as Frontier Trampoline Park, at 3501 E. Lincolnway, Suite B. There were no comments from the public or the governing body, and the application was referred to the Finance Committee.

Parkway Pizza

The final public hearing addressed a restaurant liquor license application from Thompson Weaver LLC, doing business as Parkway Pizza, at 3753 E. Lincolnway, B6.

Christopher Thompson and Mitchell Weaver, owners of Parkway Pizza, introduced themselves and clarified that their establishment is primarily a family restaurant that would serve beer. Collins thanked them for their business in the eastern part of the community.

No other public or governing body comments were made, and this application was also sent to the Finance Committee.

The applications will return to the City Council at its next meeting with Finance Committee recommendations.
