City accepting applications for Housing & Community Development Advisory Council

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The city of Cheyenne is seeking applications for membership on the city’s nine-member Housing & Community Development Advisory Council.

The council serves as a liaison between the Housing and Community Development Office and community residents in receiving input on very low, low and moderate-income needs and between the Cheyenne City Council and community residents to express identified needs. The city is seeking people who have construction or policy development experience.

During the H&CD Office grant cycle, the Advisory Council oversees the grant process and makes recommendations to the City Council for funding. In addition, the Advisory Council conducts site visits and evaluations on sub-grantees throughout the year.

Council terms are for three years.
