CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Laramie County commissioners approved several appointments to county boards at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The board approved Cheyenne attorney Kelsey Prestesater’s application to the Laramie County Community Juvenile Services Joint Powers Board. According to her application, she has been a Cheyenne resident for six months and has looked for ways to become involved in the community.
“I recently became a court-appointed special advocate with CASA of Laramie County and was thrilled when I discovered the opportunity to further contribute to my community through service on this Board,” Prestesater wrote in her application letter. Her term lasts until June 30, 2027.
Jodi Weppner was approved to retake her spot on the Laramie County Adult Community Corrections Board. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2027.
Numerous board member terms will expire on several county boards in December. The following is a list of openings that will be available:
Laramie County Community Juvenile Service Joint Powers Board
One spot is available. Members serve a three-year term and meet regularly every month.
Cheyenne-Laramie County Board of Health
One spot will be available once the term ends in December. Members serve a five-year term and meet regularly every month. Board members are limited to two terms.
Laramie County Recreation Planning and Advisory Board
Five spots will be available once the terms end in December. Members serve a five-year term and meet regularly every month.
Weed and Pest Control Board
Three spots will be available once the terms end in December. Members serve a four-year term and meet regularly every month.
Laramie County Planning Commission
A spot is open for a seat that expires June 30, 2025. Members meet regularly every month.
