CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Fire restrictions in Laramie County have been lifted as snow is expected in the days ahead.
The Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency announced on its Facebook page Monday afternoon that county fire restrictions are lifted for all entities until 6 a.m. Friday.
“The recent snowfall has significantly reduced fire danger in our area, allowing for this limited exemption,” a letter from the agency states.
Local fire regulations and laws will still be in effect, and residents must still adhere to regulations from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality regarding open burns and smoke management. Open burns must still be monitored and managed.
The agency encourages residents to call its non-emergency line at 307-637-6525 to inform county staff about controlled open fires.
