CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Commissioner Gunnar Malm was named chair for the Laramie County Board of Commissioners.
Commissioners began their regular Tuesday meeting by appointing a new chair and vice-chair to the board. Malm, who served as vice-chair in 2024, will lead the board for 2025. Brian Lovett served as the chair in 2024. He did not seek reelection to the county governing body during the 2024 election cycle.
Troy Thompson, who was absent during the board’s first meeting of the new year, was elected as vice chair. He previously served as chair in 2023.
Ty Zwonitzer and Don Hollingshead also appeared for their first commissioner meeting Tuesday.
