CHEYENNE, Wyo. — At its first meeting of 2025, the Laramie County Board of County Commissioners accepted applications to a county board.

Commissioners approved appointments to the Laramie County Weed and Pest Control District Board for areas 3, 5 and 7, nearly filling the remaining vacancies on the board. All board members serve a four-year term lasting up to Dec. 31, 2028.

The county received five applications total. Commissioners decided to appoint W. Bert Macy of Pine Bluffs to area 3, Darrel Repshire of Hillsdale to area 5 and Ron Rabou of Albin to area 7.

Nearly all county boards are now fully staffed. The exception is for the Laramie County Community Juvenile Service Joint Powers Board, which has one three-year position available.

Residents interested in serving on the joint powers board can apply. Applications can be viewed online here and brought to the county human resources office at 310 W. 19th St., Suite 140.
