CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Monday evening, the Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees approved several resolutions, consent agenda itema and other proposals.

Resolutions
The board passed a resolution to declare November as National Military Family Appreciation Month.
The board passed a resolution to declare Nov. 17 as National Substitute Educators Day.
Consent agenda items
At its 6 p.m. meeting Nov. 20, the board of trustees approved students’ homeschooling schedules for the 2023–24 academic year. Twenty-two students comprise the homeschool list, according to a school district document Cap City News received.
The board also approved the certified contracts for two district faculty members, according to a school district document.
Student fundraisers
At its Monday night meeting, the board of trustees granted several student groups permission to fundraise for upcoming club-related national events. Here is what was approved:
- Twenty students from Central High School may raise funds to cover the cost of travel to the UCA Cheer Nationals in Orlando, Florida, from Feb. 8 to Feb. 12.
- Fourteen students from South High School may raise funds to cover the cost of travel to the UCA Cheer Nationals in Orlando, Florida, from Feb. 8 to Feb. 12.
- Johnson Junior High School students with the National Junior Honor Society and student council may raise funds to cover the cost of the travel to the LEAD conference in Washington, D.C., from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28.
